Jairy C. Hunter, MD Jairy C. Hunter, MD, Medical Director, established the program in 2002. He attended MUSC in Charleston, and completed residency in Family Practice at Chesterfield Family Practice/MCV in Richmond, Virginia. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine.


Deborah S. Lay, DO Deborah S. Lay, DO attended Kansas City University of Health Sciences and trained Internal Medicine in Philadelphia. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and joined the Hospitalist Program in 2005.


Brian Whirrett, MD Dr. Brian Whirrett finished USC Medical School and completed residency in Family Medicine, also at USC. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. He has been with the program since 2003.


Nihar Patel, DO Nihar Patel, DO attended Pikeville (OH) College School of Osteopathic Medicine, and finished residency in Internal Medicine at Wright State University. He is Board Certified.


David F. Murray, MD Dr. David F. Murray attended the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, and completed residency at National Naval Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and joined the program 15 years as a physician with the US Navy.


Bradley T. Sumrall, MD Dr. Bradley T. Sumrall attended the Medical College of Georgia, and finished an Internal Medicine residency at MUSC. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.


Victor Vallejo, MD Dr. Victor Vallejo completed medical school and residency at UT-Memphis, and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
